In her practice, Avista conducts thorough intake sessions considering the client’s entire life context— including biological, psychological, and social factors. This holistic approach allows her to provide personalized and culturally competent care, applying therapeutic methods that are sensitive to the client’s family structure, gender, ethnicity, and age.


Her expertise spans various therapeutic modalities, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Inner Child Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Avista works collaboratively with clients to create customized treatment plans that address their specific needs, helping them transform unhelpful thought patterns and behavior.

A key focus of Avista’s work is helping clients develop strong interpersonal communication skills, which are essential for improving relationships and overall mental well-being. Her qualifications include certifications as a Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training, and First Aid/CPR, ensuring that she is well-prepared to meet her clients’ diverse needs.
